Senior Session :: Aaron

I have been extremely busy lately and have completely neglected this blog!! On one hand, it’s awesome that I’ve been too busy to update, but on the other it’s awful that I haven’t been able to share with you guys what I’ve been up to! In the last few months we started wedding season and finished senior photo season. That means I have a TON to share with you and I promise I will get to all of it soon!! In the mean time, here are a few of my favorite shots from a recent session with a senior from Vista Murrieta High School.

He was a double athlete as well as an all around nice guy!

I mean, come on, just look at that smile. After a few standard shots, we snuck in some “artsy” ones and of course those ended up being some of my favorites of the day! I love when clients give me free reign of a session.

Aaron, good luck as you continue your education and play soccer at Dominican University. Have a blast!

Expecting :: Keikei + James

I recently did a maternity session for this sweet couple that I met through friends. Keikei and James are young and in love and their session was full of fun and laughter. You can see how much they adore each other and how lucky their little one will be to have them as parents.

They are expecting a little girl very soon and I know she is going to be just beautiful. I mean, come on, look how gorgeous her mama is!

Congratulations you two! Can’t wait to meet your little girl.

Newborn Session :: Miss Zoey

A few years back I got to shoot maternity and newborn pictures for Patrick and Noel. Fast forward a couple years and this time I got to document their newest little bundle, Zoey.

Isn’t she just the cutest little thing?! She reminded me of my little girls with all that dark hair! Zoey was the perfect little model, sleeping through most of the session. She opened her eyes for a bit to see what was going on but promptly shut them again once we got her in a comfortable position.

Even big brother Zach wanted in on the action.

I love seeing dads with their newborns. Especially with their newborn daughters. Melts my heart every time.

Congratulations again, Dela Cruz family!! Can’t wait to see her again soon:)

Senior Session :: Skyler

You may remember I mentioned in this post about the three senior sessions I got to do recently. The first two are here and here in case you missed it.

Last but certainly not least is Skyler. This girl was seriously a dream to photograph. There’s something about her that I was immediately drawn to. I laugh because she was a little hesitant when I first met her but as soon as the camera came out, she totally came out of her shell. I didn’t really have to tell her what to do or how to pose, it just came naturally for her. Some people are just born beautiful and while Skyler is certainly that, there’s something about her that just exudes confidence and her inner beauty just shines through.

Like I said, beauty + confidence = stunning!

Skyler, girl, you are absolutely beautiful and I’m so honored to have met you. You and Rylee make me excited to see my daughters grow up to be best friends. I love how you love each other.

OH, did I forget to mention that these two were sisters?!

Or that these three were best friends?!

So much gorgeousness in one afternoon! It was almost too much to handle!

Chrissy & Nate :: Married

For the last couple of years I have been learning more about the world of photography from Ray of Marc Raymond Photography. I was fortunate enough that he started asking me to second shoot with him at some of his weddings after I returned from maternity leave last year. We’ve shot some pretty cool weddings…from a boat, to a theater, to a stadium…and I can’t wait to show you these awesome weddings from my point of view. A couple of them have even been featured in Ceremony magazine…way to go Ray!! He’s been hustlin’! It’s been such an awesome experience to be learning from him and shooting with him and I’m so thankful his sister volunteered me to intern with him those years ago. Ok, ok, enough mushy stuff.

This wedding we shot was at Padua Hills Theater in Claremont and has been by far one of the prettiest venues I’ve been to. It was a gorgeous venue for a gorgeous couple. Here’s my take on the day:

The details:

The ladies getting ready…

Isn’t she seriously gorgeous?!

The guys.

Cool peeps.

Kinda like a brunette version of Barbie & Ken.

Cool wedding, right?! Thank you again to Ray of Marc Raymond Photography for letting me come along as his second shooter for this amazing wedding!
